The FBI's National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC) has undertaken an extensive effort to provide support to state and local law enforcement agencies with investigations of violent crimes that have a nexus to the nation's highways.

 

 

Specifically, this support is being provided to investigations involving female murder victims whose bodies have been recovered along highways.

 

This unprecedented support effort has been named the "Highway Serial Killings (HSK) Initiative."
