I did read about the beach situation and I am going to assume that is the one yuo are referring to. Well to be absolutely honest with you I personally do not believe that I can fully decide on who I believe more simply because I have only heard one variation of the story. In order for me to give you an answer that I believe in enough to put my life on the line for I need to be fair and hear both sides. Now you may not like to hear that, but that is what I do with all types of situations that work related. I will tell you this though; according to what you have stated I do believe that the officers should not have arrested you for burglary. However, I do believe that the officers were correct in telling you that they were going to charge you for hindering their investigations. Like I tell those that I deal with, whoever they may be, cooperation will always make things a whole lot easier and faster. I really hope that you can understand where I am coming from. I have nothing against anyone until they choose to do something to me or my family. I have a good friend at this moment who is on death row in Alabama for killing another man. He claims that it was in self defense and I tell him that I was not there so I do not know what really happened. However, I believe him because the other man there is dead and I can not get the other story. This man is my friend because I was there for him when things got bad and he decided that he no longer felt like living. It did not matter to me what his color is or what he had done because he is another human being and he needed me. Like I have said before I am sorry that you had a terrible experience with law enforcement but I still do not believe that you should kill anyone because of that. And yes you LEGALLY have the right to RESIST , that is RESIST an unlawful arrest but it does not state KILL because of one. What I am about to ask you may be difficult for you but please give it a try before innocent lives are lost: Try to hear BOTH sides of all stories, go back and see if you can get the officers side of your story. Maybe there was a miss communication somewhere. Such as someone else calling them or telling them that you were supposedly doing something that you were not doing. Do you see what I am saying. That happens to me a lot out in the field and I take my our advise and get absolutely evey side of the story before I decide to make an arrest. Sincerely, Officer Amanda M.
